Findings that support the hypothesis that the Earth is indeed getting warmer and warmer, a phenomenon popularly known as the greenhouse effect, has been collected. However, little has actually been done to address this problem. This age in civilization still relies on oil as the number one source for energy and transportation. Although recent
scientific discoveries are already giving results that should encourage governments to further their attempts to shift into renewable, more efficient, and more environment-friendly sources of energy, little has been done to minimize the effect. It would not be long before we would be facing circumstances that will really force us to advance into another stage in civilization. I am pertaining to circumstances like natural disasters on a much larger scale.
Among the alternatives already known to the scientific community are alternative fuels such as biodiesel, ethanol, methane gas, natural gas, and the most recent hydrogen. Such information should already be known to some people since this kind of details is usually posted on the internet. Most sites are actually offering detailed instruction on how to convert
internal combustion vehicles into cars that run on electric motors. Although as of the moment, this is the exception rather than the rule. Furthermore, it is hoped that support from all sectors would help finding a solution to this inevitable problem.
