The effect of
global warming is a looming threat to almost everyone who lives in this what they call the only living planet. The abnormal increase in temperature is making all earthlings, if that's the right word to describe us, go loco over the cooling convenience of air conditioners. But then again, you may think that this is a stupid cliche, but blessed are those few who have the silver spoon fixed in their beaks. Okay, I had the premonition that you wouldn't like that so I'll change that statement to, many are cold but few are frozen.
Having an air conditioner in your comfortable bedroom means the need of a greater budget to pay electricity bills. Aside from that, some environmentalists and weather experts said that ACs are among the key factors contributing to chlorofluorocarbons that ruins the soon to be defunct ozone layer in the atmosphere. By the way, according to my office colleague turned walking encyclopedia, the rupture in the ozone layer is now as big as Australia. This simply refers to the idea that using ACs aside from being impractical can be
pretty life threatening.
To answer both premise, the Canadian government and private companies created a natural alternative source of cooling system. Dubbed as the Ontario deep-source cooling, the
chilly waters of Lake Ontario is expanded to a filtering plant and then forwarding it to the heat exchangers that permit the water to cool a water circulation system. The technology is being used to cool business buildings and other establishments in downtown Toronto.
